Don Henson was a lineman who played on both sides of the ball for the Mulerider football team from 1958-1961. In an era where this was commonplace, Henson was a standout and excelled at the dual role as he earned All-AIC honors playing on both the offensive and defensive line in his time at Southern Arkansas.

In his junior season of 1960, Henson would be named All-AIC on both sides of the ball as he was a First-Team offensive guard and Second-Team defensive guard. As a senior in 1961, Henson would repeat All-AIC First-Team honors at offensive guard.

A native of Paris, Ark., Henson went on to coach several years at Magnolia High School and then went to Lake Hamilton High School (Hot Springs, Ark.) where he finished his career in administration.
