RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its first cross country runners of the week on Thursday and for the second time in his career,
Rob Kraus, a native of The Woodlands, Texas, has received the honor following an impressive performance at the season-opening Bob Gravett Invitational.
Kraus' 5K time of 15:20.7 stands as a personal best effort and it came after he sped past Ouachita's Evan Armitage late in the race to stand atop the podium. Runnin' Rob averaged 4:56.0 per mile and led SAU to a second-place team finish after the Muleriders nearly claimed the team title.
Kraus' honor on Thursday joins a ROTW award from last fall which he earned after winning the Lois Davis Invitational.
