MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Mulerider Cross Country is set for postseason competition, as the Blue and Gold prepare to head out to Joplin, Missouri, for the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships hosted by Missouri Southern State University at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course.
Southern Arkansas plans to travel 16 runners in total, with eight from both the men's and women's teams ready to compete this Saturday, November 8. To start the day, the championships will begin with the women's 6k race at 10:00 AM CST, followed by the men's 10k race at 11:15 AM CST.

Two weeks ago, the Muleriders wrapped up the regular season in Monticello, Arkansas, for the 2025 Great American Conference (GAC) Championships. Both the men's and women's teams saw plenty of progress in their individual careers, as there were 16 personal records set by both teams. The Mulerider Men accounted for nine of the PRs, while the Women tallied seven career bests.
With the lone All-GAC honor amongst both groups, senior
Wesley Maxwell's time of 25:03.5, a career best, earned the Magnolia, Texas native 17
th-place in the men's 8k for the Texan to claim an All-GAC Second Team honor, the first all-conference award earned by the men since Rob Kraus placed ninth in the 2022 GAC Championship (25:44.4).
