MAGNOLIA, Ark. – It is that time of the year again, the 2026 Great American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships are upon us, as Coach James Bowlin prepares his Muleriders for a week full of competition in Searcy, Arkansas.

Mulerider Women
Making a return to the GAC Championships from the 2025 All-GAC First Team are
Diamond Brunn and
Ambree Collinsworth. For Brunn, the senior in her junior season, accounted for a leap of 5.87m (19' 3.25"), which placed her in second place in the Long Jump. Collinsworth, in her sophomore campaign, placed second in the Javelin Throw, as the then-freshman recorded a distance of 39.13m (128' 4").
Also, two Muleriders return this season with All-GAC Second Team honors from a year ago, with Brunn being one of them and
Anaya Ervin being the other. In the Triple Jump, Diamond recorded her second All-GAC honor with a leap of 11.39m (37' 4.5") to place sixth in the event. In the Heptathlon, Ervin finished in fourth with a final score of 4,360 points.
Mulerider Men
Two All-GAC First Team men for the Blue and Gold make a return to the conference championship week, as
Keith Smith and
Isaac Gass are both set to compete for a league title in their senior seasons. In his junior campaign, Smith recorded a second-place finish in the Triple Jump after accounting for a leap of 15.23m (49' 11.75"). For Gass, the senior in his last GAC outing recorded a second-place finish in the 3,000m Steeplechase, after recording a time of 9:18.03, which stands as a personal best for Gass.
Isaac was also responsible for an All-GAC Second Team honor, as the Hot Springs, Arkansas local marked a time of 15:06.85 in the 5,000m to place sixth. The time also still stands as a personal best for him. Along with Isaac, Southern Arkansas also brings with it four other All-GAC Second Team members from a year ago. Those include
Chad Blake, who placed sixth in the Triple Jump (13.86m | 45' 5.75"),
Joseph Boyd, who placed sixth in the Pole Vault (4.60m | 15' 1"),
Landry Leigh, who placed fourth in the Pole Vault (4.90 | 16' 0.75"), and
Jaxon Plunkett, who placed fourth in the 400m Hurdles (55.48).
