MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Due to weather in the upcoming forecast, the Ninth Annual Dan Veach Invitational has been moved up from Saturday (April 18) to Friday (April 17).
Events are set to begin at 11:00 AM, as the Javelin Throw will begin the full day of action. Hammer Throw will take place at 1:00 PM, and will be followed by Discus and Shot Put.
All jumping events are scheduled to get going at 2:00 PM, as the High Jump, Long Jump, and Pole Vault will all begin then. At 4:30 PM, jumping events will begin to wrap up with the Triple Jump.
Also at 1:00 PM, while Hammer Throw gets started, competition will begin on the track following the National Anthem. From then on it will be a rolling schedule with tentative times, as the 4x100m relays will start off the competition on the track. Right after the 200m dash, Muleriders Track & Field/Cross Country will have its Senior Day Recognition in front of the main bleachers around 5:50 PM. To conclude the Ninth Annual Dan Veach Invitational, the final event of the day will be the 4x400m relays, which are set to start at 6:30 PM.
