MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Ninth Dan Veach Invitational is upon us, and Mulerider Track & Field is set to host their annual meet at the Mulerider Track & Field Complex on Friday, April 17. To see the full meet schedule, click on the link above.
Events are set to begin at 11:00 AM, as the Javelin Throw will begin the full day of action. Hammer Throw will take place at 1:00 PM, and will be followed by Discus and Shot Put.
All jumping events are scheduled to get going at 2:00 PM, as the High Jump, Long Jump, and Pole Vault will all begin then. At 4:30 PM, jumping events will begin to wrap up with the Triple Jump.
Also at 1:00 PM, while the Hammer Throw gets started, competition will begin on the track following the National Anthem. From then on, it will be a rolling schedule with tentative times, as the 4x100m relays will start off the competition on the track. Right after the 200m dash, Muleriders Track & Field/Cross Country will have its Senior Day Recognition in front of the main bleachers around 5:50 PM. To conclude the Ninth Annual Dan Veach Invitational, the final event of the day will be the 4x400m relays, which are set to start at 6:30 PM.
Last season for the Muleriders, in the Eighth Annual DVI, Southern Arkansas dominated the home meet, as the Muleriders Men saw 42 finish within the top ten, 25 in the top five, and four claim first-place. The Mulerider Women finalized the home meet with 31 finishers inside the top ten, 23 inside the top five, and five first-place spots.
Set to make their final appearance at the DVI are 15 seniors on the Mulerider Track & Field teams. Also to be recognized during the Senior Day festivities will be
