PITTSBURG, Kan. — Mulerider Track and Field concluded action at the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic with multiple indoor program records set at the meet.
The Muleriders faced a humongous list of competition at the well-renowned indoor meet. Even against the multitudes of competition, the Muleriders still produced solid amounts of impressive performances.
For the Mulerider Women, the unit saw six of its members crack inside the top thirty, as well as having three individuals break indoor program records.
Listing amongst the top of the Mulerider Women with strong performances was Diamond Brunn, who broke her previous long jump record with a lead of 5.83m (19' 1.5") for a fifth-place spot in the event.
Accounting for a top-15 spot in the 200m, and a broken record, was Jordan Collins, as the junior marked a time of 25.00 to finish in 15th for the race.
To cap off the broken records trends for the Mulerider Women, Rachel Solano recorded a program record time of 19:29.98 in the 5000m run, and finished with a 34th-place finish.

Three total relay teams got to run for the Mulerider Women, as team A (Kamryn Floyd, Jayla Daniels, Jordan Collins, Kendal Fellegy) in the 4x400 finished in 19th with a time of 4:00.36. Team B (Anaya Ervin, Kaylie Goad, Rylee Robinson, Kailee Carr) finished their running in 28th with a time of 4:09.10.
In the Distance Medley Relay, the unit (Rylee Robinson, Edriana Hunter, Kaylie Goad, Kailee Carr) finished in 11th with a time of 13:20.17.
The Mulerider Men also had themselves an outstanding trip, with men recorded nine top-30 finishes, two individual indoor records, a relay record, and a first-place performance.
Getting right into, one of the two new program records, also just so happens to be the first-place finish, as Keith Smith boosted his program record from a few weeks ago with a jump to 15.55m (51' 0.25") in the triple jump. The mark is not only a provisional, but boost Smith to fifth in the nation for the event.
Also breaking an indoor program record was Jaxon Plunkett in the 400m, as the sophomore finished in 27th with a time of 49.52 to claim the new indoor record.
The Mulerider Men's Distance Medley Relay group (Johnny Hart, Garrett Hughes, Charles Patton, Fintan Lehman) accounted for a new indoor record with a 14th-place finish and a time of 10:31.07.

The indoor regular season has come to a close, and the wait is on for the Muleriders to see if anyone has paved their way to the NCAA DII Indoor Nationals in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 13-14. Prior to the national taking place, SAU will travel to Searcy, Arkansas to begin the 2026 outdoor season at the Harding Invitational and Multis on March 6-7.
