MARYVILLE, Mo. — Mulerider Track and Field started up a weekend full of competition, as the Blue and Gold started the weekend at Northwest Missouri State for the Bearcat Invite. For the day, SAU competed just in Multi events, as SAU had Anaya Ervin represent the Mulerider Women, and Garrett Hughes, Kian McGhee, and Cameron Sliger represented the Mulerider Men.
Ervin wrapped up her action for weekend this Friday, as the senior from Richmond, Texas placed ninth of 16 competitors in the Pentathlon. With her five events, the Texan scored a total of 3,079 points. Ervin placements and times/distances are listed as such:
60m Hurdles - 10th | 9.65
High Jump - 11th | 1.46m (4' 9.48")
Shot Put - 1st | 11.76m (38' 6.99")
Long Jump - 10th | 4.75m (15' 7")
800m - 7th | 2:38.87
For the men, the group has yet to finish their Multi contest, as they will wrap up competition for the Heptathlon tomorrow with three events left to partake in. After day one, the Mulerider Men are being led by Hughes in fifth-place out of ten competitors. Up to this point, the Katy, Texas local has recorded 2,507 points. Hughes has placed inside the top seven of every event thus far, with his placements and times/distances listed below.

Shot Put - 10.43m (34' 2.6")
High Jump - 1.71m (5' 7")
