HOUSTON, Texas — Mulerider Track and Field has wrapped up another weekend full of competition, as Southern Arkansas capped off competing at Maryville, Missouri with Multis, and the remainder of the group finished at the FasTrak Athletix College Classic in Houston, Texas.
After finishing up events in the Men's Heptathlon, Garrett Hughes jumped from fifth place to fourth, as the junior saw solid outings in the 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault, and 1000m. Hughes also went on to reset his own program record in Heptathlon with 4,199 points.

The Mulerider Women saw a solid showing while in the Lone Star State, as the Blue and Gold's women had eight finishers inside the top-15 of their respective events. The Mulerider Women also saw two indoor records broken in Houston, and one in Maryville.
Anaya Ervin's 3,079 total points accounted for in the Bearcat Invite's Pentathlon ended up being a program record for indoor track and field.
Moving to Houston, Rachel Solano's tenth place finish in the 5000 meter run saw the junior from Katy, Texas set a new indoor program record with her finishing time of 19:39.45.
A highlight for the Mulerider Women was in the long jump, as Diamond Brunn broke a program record for the event indoors, with her jump measuring to 5.82m (19' 1.25"). Brunn's program-setting performance ended up earning the senior a second-place finish in the vent.
Making her way to the 60m dash finals was Kamryn Floyd, as the junior did so with an eighth-place finish in the prelims and eventually finished in fifth of the finals with a time of 7.73.
The Mulerider Women partook in the 4000m Distance Medley Relay in fifth-place with a final time of 13:32.28. The group consisted of Kailee Carr, Kaylie Goad, Rylee Robinson, Rachel Solano, and Isabella Sandoval.
Moving onto the Mulerider Men, the unit finished with ten top-ten finishers, which included two first-place finishes and one new program record set.
Winning the 60m finals was Darius James, as the freshman claimed the first-place finish with his time of 6.86 seconds. James not only finished in first-place for the 60m, but also broke an indoor program record for the 200m, with a finishing time of 22.09. to finish eighth in the running.
Having another stellar showing in the triple jump was Keith Smith, as the senior finished in first-place with a distance of 14.92m (48' 11.5"). Also placing in the top three of the event, in third, was Chad Blake. Blake did so after accounting for a mark of 14.54m (47' 8.5").
Southern Arkansas had a men's group run in the 4000m Distance Medley Relay, as the group finished in fifth-place with a finishing time of 11:11.08. The team consisted of Hunter Pye, Charles Patton, Joseph Uc, Tyson McFall, and Isaac Gass.
