LAKE CHARLES, La. — Mulerider Track and Field has finally gotten back into action, as Southern Arkansas took to the McNeese State Indoor meet. The Blue and Gold showed a solid performance all around, as the SAU men produced ten top-five performers whilst the women have produced nine top-ten showings. Both of Head Coach James Bowlin's saw two first-place outings.
For the women, placing first in the long jump was senior Diamond Brunn. The Killeen, Texas native recorded the placement after accounting for a jump of 5.69m (18' 8"). In doing so, Brunn outleaped five NCAA Division I athletes in the event.
Southern Arkansas' other eight women to place inside the top-ten of their respective events on as such:
Ja'Mesha Skinner - Women's Weight Throw - 12.89m (42' 3") - 6th
Skyler Phillips - Women's Shot Put - 11.07m (36' 3.75") - 6th
Bree Kirk - Women's Long Jump - 4.93m (16' 2") - 8th
Anaya Ervin - Women's High Jump - 1.46m (4' 9.5") - 3rd
Jeana Paredes - Women's Pole Vault - 3.10m (10' 2") - 3rd
Rylee Robinson - Women's 800 meters - 2:31.41 - 8th
Anaya Ervin - Women's 200 meters - 27.45 - 7th
Kendal Fellegy - Women's 200 meters - 27.47 - 9th
The Mulerider Women's 4x400 team finished its run with time of 4:19.81, defeating Nicholls State and LeTourneau with a third-place finish. That team consisted of Anaya Ervin, Edriana Hunter, Isabella Sandoval, and Kendal Fellegy.
On the men's side, Keith Smith recorded a first-place spotting after the senior recorded a mark of 15.12m (49' 7.25") in the triple jump. Smith ended up defeating three NCAA Division I opponents in the process.

Jonovan Gamble - Men's Weight Throw - 13.75m (45' 1") - 4th
Jericho Gamble - Men's Weight Throw - 13.65m (44' 9") - 5th
Joseph Boyd - Men's Pole Vault - 4.40m (14' 5.25") - 2nd
Cameron Sliger - Men's Pole Vault - 3.95m (12' 11.5") - 4th
Chad Blake - Men's Triple Jump - 14.02m (46') - 3rd
Jaxon Plunkett - Men's 400 meters - 51.11 - 2nd
Tyrese Townsend - Men's 400 meters - 53.6 - 4th
The Mulerider Men had three groups run in the 4x400m in which team A (Anthony Hicks, Jaxon Plunkett, Tyrese Townsend, and Garrett Hughes) placed third with a time of 3:28.6. In 11th was team C (Charles Patton, Johnny Hart, Hez Morris, and Hunter Pye) with a time of 3:38.31, and in 12th was team B (Tiquan Box, Givonni Hammond, Darius James, and Christian Johnson) with a time of 3:41.66.
