RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Great American Conference announced its weekly tennis honors on Wednesday, with Amelie Gindl earning GAC Player of the Week for the third time this season — setting a new Mulerider Women's Tennis record for the most POTW honors in a single season.
The standout sophomore delivered an undefeated week as the Mulerider Women swept Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist, and Harding. Competing at the top of the singles lineup and teaming up with Maria Fiacan at No. 2 doubles, Gindl notched a 6-4, 6-2 win over No. 36 Sadbaroy Kholdarova of Ouachita Baptist and outlasted No. 12 Alexia Zarate Valdez of Harding in a gritty 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 battle.
