MERIDIAN, Miss. — Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis began its Spring Break in the Magnolia State, as the Muleriders took on Montevallo in a non-regional match on Monday, March 23. SAU ended up dropping the match, as the Falcons clinched the outing with a 4-3 final score. 

The group won the doubles point, as Montevallo was credited with a set win automatically, as the Muleriders defaulted at line three and the Falcons won line two 6-2. 

In singles play, the Blue and Gold managed to capture three wins, but were down one with a defaulted line six. Winning their singles matches were Jolina Mass, Roksana Kokocha, and Taylor Conway at line one, two, and four. At line one, Mass made a comeback after falling in set one 4-6, but then bounced back with 6-4 and 6-1 sets. For line two, Kokocha handled her opponent with a 6-2, 6-3 final. At line four, Conway won her match 6-4, 6-3 for the Muleriders final point. 

The Falcons finished off the match with single matches wins at line three (4-6, 2-6) and at line five (0-6, 0-6).

The Muleriders' next trek on their Spring Break will be in Pensacola, Florida, in which the Blue and Gold will take on the second-ranked West Florida Argonauts this coming Thursday (Mar. 26) at 1:00 PM.
