PENSACOLA, Fla. — Mulerider Women's Tennis finished up their second match of the week, but this time against the second-ranked West Florida Argonauts. The Blue and Gold dropped the match with a 6-1 final against the top-two team in the nation.
Securing the lone point for the Muleriders was at line one, as freshman Jolina Mass outplayed 28th-ranked Sandra Recuenco in three sets, with a tie breaker to finish the singles match. Recuenco started off hot with a dominant 0-6 set one win. Mass countered with a dominating set of his own with a 6-2 set win. The third set between the two saw a much different path, but Mass ended up securing the line one singles win with a tie breaking 9-7 win to secure the seventh point, winning the third set 7-6.
The remainder of the Argonauts ended up clearing the rest of the matches. Roksana Kokocha fell at line two against Aline Midori Da Silva with a 3-6, 4-6 final. Isabella Lazzerini dropped her match at line three against Guadalupe Martinez with a 1-6, 0-6 final. Taylor Conway fell at line four against Alberte Jorgensen with a final of 2-6, 4-6. At line five, Victoria Perez dropped to Sophie Smith with a final of 0-6, 0-6. The Argonauts gained a point due to a default at line six.
