Mulerider Cross Country caps off 14th Lois Davis Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The 14th Annual Lois Davis Invitational is in the books, as Mulerider Cross Country capped off the meet with both teams finishing inside the top three of all teams. Competition for the return of the LDI included Louisiana-Monroe, Ouachita Baptist, Arkansas-Monticello, Bossier Parish CC, and Arkansas-Rich Mountain.

Mulerider Women
For the first race of the evening, the women runners took off in a 5,000-meter race (3.11 miles). The 5K saw 64 competitors participate in the race. Southern Arkansas finished in third place. Leading the way for the Mulerider Women was once again senior Ava Zindler. The native of Tomball, Texas, finished the outing in 11th after she recorded a time of 19:59.91.

Trailing not far behind Zindler was sophomore Rylee Robinson in 14th after the Fort Worth, Texas native recorded her time of 20:17.86.

The Blue and Gold saw their remaining seven runners finish within the top fifty. Leading the way for those seven was Kailee Carr in 29th. Carr finished her first LDI with a time of 21:34.73. The Blue and Gold's lead ended up being senior Wesley Maxwell in second place. The Magnolia, Texas native was only bested by ULM's Chase Gunn by 14 seconds as Maxwell led the Division I runner for most of the race. The Texan finished in second after accounting for a time of 25:53.8.
