ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Muleriders delivered standout performances at the Ouachita Invitational, securing multiple top-five finishes across track and field events, with two athletes now earning national rankings.
In the Men's 100m Dash, Christan Cobb took 1st place (10.59), followed by La'Tavion Mays in 2nd (10.66) and Trysten Richey in 5th (10.96). Cobb continued his dominance in the 200m Dash, winning 1st (21.82), with Mays in 2nd (21.87), and Richey and Landry Leigh tying for 4th (22.40).
The Muleriders excelled in hurdles, with Haydn Harris finishing 3rd in the 110m Hurdles (15.64) and Jaxon Plunkett taking 5th (16.45). Plunkett also secured 2nd in the 400m Hurdles (55.16), while Harris placed 4th (58.59). The team dominated the 4x400m Relay, winning 1st (3:20.59), with their B team finishing 4th (3:30.27) and C team 5th (3:42.17).
In distance events, Wesley Maxwell finished 2nd in the 1500m Run (4:09.01), followed by Charles Patton in 3rd (4:09.69). Enrico Tapia placed 3rd in the 5000m Run (15:19.42).
In field events, Landry Leigh claimed 1st in Pole Vault (4.60m), while Joseph Boyd placed 3rd (4.15m). Long Jump was another strong event, with Jakeylon Jones (1st, 6.95m), Keith Smith (2nd, 6.52m), Christian Johnson (3rd, 6.27m), and Lou Hughes (4th, 6.24m) securing top spots. Chad Blake took 1st in the Triple Jump (13.31m), followed by Dontrelle Robinson in 2nd (12.53m) and Daylon Davis in 4th (11.29m).
On the men's side in the Discus, Jason Patrick delivered a dominant performance, winning 1st place and improving his national ranking with a throw of 53.06m. Jonovan Gamble finished 3rd (44.14m), Rocco Patrick took 4th (44.08m), and Bo Rogers secured 5th (41.27m).
The Mulerider women also had a stellar meet. Jordan Collins won the 100m Dash (12.36) and placed 2nd in the 200m Dash (24.39), while Jayla Davila secured 3rd (25.87). Davila also finished 4th in the 400m Dash (59.47). In distance events, Logan Warren placed 2nd in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:51.32), followed by Alyzah McGlasson in 4th (12:42.08).
Field events were a highlight, with Ashlynn Dickey finishing 2nd in the High Jump (1.52m) and Anaya Ervin in 3rd (1.42m). Diamond Brunn won the Long Jump (5.56m), while Bree Kirk secured 5th (5.10m). Carmin Tolliver dominated the Triple Jump (10.89m).
In throws, Kailyn Thomas is now nationally ranked in the Discus Throw, finishing 1st with a mark of 45.39m. Kylie Pugh placed 2nd (41.04m), and Irieyanna Wilson took 3rd (40.19m), leading a Mulerider sweep. Wilson also won the Shot Put (13.27m), with Thomas finishing 3rd (12.23m). Ambree Collinsworth secured 1st in the Javelin Throw (33.99m).
