Nacogdoches, Texas – The Mulerider Men's Track and Field team wrapped up competition at the Carl Kight Invitational/Multis this past weekend in which the team accounted for an impressive outing among the 22 other programs to have competed.
*The group accounted for 28 top-20 finishes/marks over the weekend. Southern Arkansas left the Lone Star State with 12 placements among the top-ten at the Stephen F. Austin hosted meet that included sophomore
Keith Smith showing out at the meet as the Marshall, Texas product posted an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 48' 6" in the triple jump as well as setting a new personal record. Smith was placed as the second-best jumper among the 11 to have placed.
*Freshman
Johnny Woods competed in just his third meet of the season in which he placed eighth in the 100-meter after dashing for 10.69 with 2.6 wind. Woods accounted for a new PR in the 200m as he clocked in a time of 22.21 with just 1.5 wind.

Bryson Johnson led the Muleriders in the 200-meter as the senior posted a time of 21.53 for him to place ninth among the 83-sprinter event.

Dezmand Bryant earned himself a new PR as the senior finished in at ninth among 44 competitors and recorded a time of 49.67.
*Junior
Brandon Sofi accounted for an eighth-place performance in the 110-meter hurdles as the Prosper, Texas native was clocked in at 15.00.

Derrick Onyeador ended up being the furthest jumper of the Mulerider Men's long jump group as the Lone Star product leaped for 22' 11.25" to place sixth. The junior also posted a 5' 11.5" at high jump for seventh.
*Freshman
Garrett Hughes also placed inside the top-ten of the triple jump along with Smith as the Katy, Texas native posted a distance of 44' 10.25" for a new personal record and an eighth-place spot.

Ja'Kamron Zackery managed to claim a top-ten spot in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw as the junior placed sixth at shot put for his heave of 49' 11.25", third in the discus throw after hurling the disc for 161' 5", and ninth at the hammer throw as he slung the hammer for 164' 11".

Jason Patrick, who has already claimed a provisional mark this season, did it once more in the discus throw as the sophomore out of Prescott, Arkansas tossed for 166' 3" to place second in the event.

Connor White and
Jeremy Jackson each got their first go at a decathlon this campaign as White finished in seventh with a score of 5,614 and Jackson completed his multi with a final score of 5,249 (PR).
