MAGNOLIA, Ark. – On Tuesday, the Great American Conference announced its weekly award winners for men's and women's track & field and among those honored were a pair of Southern Arkansas student-athletes as the Muleriders garnered both the male and female track athlete of the week plaudits.

True freshman Jordan Collins, a sprinter from Huntsville, Texas, was named the GAC Female Track Athlete of the Week, while junior sprinter Bryson Johnson, a native of Jefferson, Texas, was tabbed as the GAC Male Track Athlete of the Week. The honors are the first for the SAU duo in their respective careers.

Collins recorded personal-best times in both the 200M (25.21) and 400M (57.65) events at the Little Rock Invitational. She placed seventh in the 200M, while her fourth-place time in the 400M is currently the fastest time by a Great American Conference sprinter this season.
