CONWAY, Ark. – Sophomores Aurthur Jeffrey and Sinclair Pitts led the way for Southern Arkansas on Friday afternoon as the classmates captured individual wins in the triple jump and hammer throw, respectively, and the Muleriders logged a solid performance overall at the Central Arkansas Spring Opener.
 
Jeffrey won the triple jump event for the second meet in a row and did so with a mark of 45' 2 ¼". Pitts claimed his first event win of the outdoor season with a final toss of 139' 5" in the hammer throw. The Muleriders set seven team-best marks or times on Friday, including the 4x100 meter relay team of Marcus Brown, Xavier Cooper, Adriene Lasko, and Quincy Flowers producing a 41.41 in a third-place finish.
 
Southern Arkansas coupled the aforementioned two event wins with 27 top-10 finishes, including second-place finishes by Brown (Long Jump), Pitts (Discus Throw) and Malcolm Cambron (Hammer Throw). SAU also added 14 top-20 finishes.
