MAGNOLIA, Ark.  – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders Men's Golf team are set to kick off their regular season finale action at the Firekeeper Open on Monday, April 6th. The tournament will be held at Firekeeper Golf Club in Mayetta, Kansas and will be hosted by Washburn University.

The Muleriders are coming off their best finish of the season thus far placing second at the Arkansas Collegiate two weeks ago. Jett Stephenson recorded his best finish of the season so far in fifth place at +13 over par. Carter Bell also recorded a top 10 finish at the Arkansas Collegiate tying for sixth place at +15 over par.

The Muleriders currently sit in eighth in the NCAA Division II Regional rankings as they look to make the regional round of play again this year.


The Lineup for the Muleriders this weekend will consist of Jett Stephenson, Carter Bell, Collin Spangler, Stewart Druin, and Luke Cote. Will Blake will compete as an individual in the tournament. 

17 teams will compete in this weekend's tournament. The teams at the event include, Central Missouri, Winona State, Washburn, SAU, Central Oklahoma, Concordia University St. Paul, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Missouri Southern State, Missouri Western State, Oklahoma Christian, Arkansas Tech, Fort Hays State, University of Minnesota Crookston, Henderson State, Newman, Minnesota State University Mankato, and West Texas A&M.
