Keith Smith Earns First Team All-American Honor in Triple Jump National Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Indoor season has officially come to close, and for Mulerider Track & Field, the squad had a strong finish to the campaign. To wrap up the 2025-26 indoor season, the Blue and Gold saw Keith Smith make his way into the Virginia Beach Sports Center and exit as a First Team All-American, making him the first Mulerider to be an All-American for indoor track and field.

The senior from Jefferson, Texas had an incredible finish to his final indoor season, as Smith finished the triple jump national championship with a sixth-place finish, as he recorded his furthest jump of 15.36m (50' 4.75"). The jump from Smith ended up being his second best leap for the season, only behind his school-record jump of 15.55m (51' 0.25") at the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic.
