SAU Notables
>>> The last meeting between these two Natural State Rivals, the Muleriders defeated the Reddies, which marked Head Coach Darrick Matthews first-ever win against Henderson State. During that time the Muleriders were riding high on a three-game winning streak following that victory over the Reddies, which eventually turned into a four-game winner with a win over Ouachita Baptist.
>>> Southern Arkansas now looks to get back in that groove they were once in, as the Muleriders are on a four-game losing streak, after falling to Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene, East Central, and Southeastern Oklahoma State.
>>> SAU looks to get the offense going, as the Blue and Gold have yet to break into the 60s for the last four contests.
>>> Still leading the Muleriders in scoring is Blythe Crawley with 251 points. The freshman has accounted for 12.0 points scored per game, and still leads the group in three-pointers made with 40. Cracking into the 200s for scoring is fellow freshman Hope Bump, as the Oklahoman has tallied 205 points and averages 9.8 per game.
>>> Still atop of the rebounds leaderboard for the Muleriders is Elena Lijo-Rodriguez, as the senior has recorded 142 boards this season and averages 6.8 per game. Two other Muleriders with 100+ rebounds are Kadia Ward (124) and Marlee Bright (110).
HSU Notables
>>> Much like Southern Arkansas, the Reddies are looking for a much-needed win, as the group has fell in their last five outings. The unit seeks their first win since defeating Oklahoma Baptist on January 17.
>>> Leading the Reddies in points accounted for is Natalie Cardenas, who has recorded 348 to this point with an 18.3 scoring average. Henderson State's offense has not been a complete one-person show, as Brynlee Huggins (263) and Grayson Fairless (206) have both assisted HSU in scoring.
>>> Fairless has not only been stellar offensively this season, but she is also been of great importance to the Reddies' defense/rebounding game, as she averages a double-double with 106 rebounds per game and 201 rebounds recorded this season.
