BETHANY, Okla. — Mulerider Women's Basketball got back into action after falling to Oklahoma Baptist yesterday, as Southern Arkansas traveled to face Southern Nazarene for the second time this season. SAU ended up dropping the contest while on the road by a final score of 68-41.
The Muleriders saw one player with a double-digit showing, as Kennedy Moss recorded 15 points for night after going 6-for-9 from the field and 3-for-5 from the charity stripe. Nearly accounting for a double-double was Kadia Ward, as the junior tallied 10 rebounds and nine points. Johnna Brockman had a season-high night for blocks, as the sophomore recorded three blocks for the night.
Southern Arkansas scored 11 points in the opening quarter while Southern Nazarene posted 15. The period saw SAU get on the board with a few made field goals and free throws, but Southern Nazarene maintained a lead throughout, ending the quarter up 15–11.
In the second quarter, SAU again scored 11 points, while Southern Nazarene increased their total with 21 points. At halftime, the score stood 36–22 in favor of Southern Nazarene after SAU's offense produced consistent scoring but was outpaced by SNU's output.
The third quarter saw a lower scoring output from SAU, with 8 points in the period, while Southern Nazarene scored 13 points during the same stretch. By the end of the third, SAU trailed 49–30 heading into the final period.
In the final quarter, SAU scored 11 points, and Southern Nazarene added 19. The game concluded with Southern Nazarene winning 68–41, with SAU's scoring spread across the quarters but ultimately trailing in each frame.

The Muleriders are back home for the first time since January 17, as Southern Arkansas will face East Central on Thursday (Feb. 5) at 5:30 PM. SAU will then take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday (Feb. 7) at 1:00 PM.
