RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — The Great American Conference has released this week's weekly awards for women's basketball, and claiming her second defensive player of the week honor this season is Elena Lijo-Rodriguez. The Spaniard earned her second weekly honor as a co-Defensive Player of the Week. 

Lijo-Rodriguez accomplished this feat after recording 15 rebounds and a pair of blocks last week at Arkansas-Monticello. Within the senior's 15 boards, she tallied up 11 defensive rebounds and had 13 points recorded for her fourth double-double this season. 

Elena Lijo-Rodriguez and the Muleriders are looking to get warmed back up with an upcoming road trip to central Oklahoma, with Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday (5:30 PM) and Southern Nazarene on Saturday (1:00 PM).
