MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Women's Basketball team has announced today their full 2025-26 schedule as head coach Darrick Matthews enters his second season at the helm.
The Muleriders get their season underway with an exhibition game against NCAA Division I the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Oxford, Mississippi, on October 26th. The Muleriders will then hit the road to north Arkansas to take part in the Central Region Challenge being played at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, as they are set to face Newman University on November 14
th, followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith on November 15
th.
The Blue and Gold will stay on the road for a contest at Delta State University on November 18
th. Before their return to Magnolia, the Muleriders will take on the University of Texas-Permian Basin in Lubbock, Texas on November 21
st followed by a matchup with Lubbock Christian the following day (Nov. 22). Southern Arkansas will then return to Magnolia for their home opener as they take on a foe from the Gulf South Conference, Christian Brothers on November 25
th.
The Muleriders will begin a two-game home stand to open GAC play against Southern Nazarene on December 4
th followed by a contest against Oklahoma Baptist on December 6
th. Prior to resuming conference play, SAU will be set for a final exhibition outing with NCAA Division I opponent Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 9
th. The Blue and Gold will end their regular season play inside of the W.T. Watson Athletic Center against Arkansas Tech on February 28
th for senior night.
The home slate for the 2025-26 season showcases 11 home games, with 10 of them being conference games.
