AUSTIN, Texas – College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its Academic All-American (AAA) team members for women's tennis. Being named a member of the Division II AAA team was Southern Arkansas'
Amelie Gindl. Of the members announced to the Academic All-America teams (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA), the CSC also released the top standouts of those members, with one team member for each division. For DII, Gindl was named the CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for Women's Tennis.
Gindl garners the title of Team Member of the Year after a historic individual season in which she recorded a perfect 4.00 GPA, majoring in Strength and Conditioning. She was named the Great American Conference's (GAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Year after going undefeated against league foes during the regular season. She guided the Muleriders to their first tournament title since 2019. Gindl finished the regular season No. 4 in the ITA singles ranking and, in the fall of 2024, she was the first Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis student-athlete to participate in the ITA Cup and is the first in program history to claim an ITA Central Region title.
As a true freshman, Gindl impressed with 15 wins in the spring season to earn the ITA's Central Region Rookie of the Year accolade. She helped guide the Muleriders to a 2024 GAC Regular Season title while claiming a pair of league Player of the Week honors.
