ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Mulerider Men's Golf team concluded the first round of the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional on Thursday at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. Southern Arkansas finds themselves tied for 10th place after day one of the regional championship.
Wil Griffin paced the Muleriders with an impressive opening round, firing an even-par 71 to finish the day tied for sixth place on the individual leaderboard.Â
Luke Cote followed with a 3-over 74 to tie for 29th, while Logan McDonald posted a 75 (+4) to sit in a tie for 49th. Blane Burk carded a 77 (+6), placing him in a tie for 70th, and Will Blake rounded out the team with an 80 (+9), tying for 99th after the opening round.
Southern Arkansas will look to climb the standings in Friday's second round. Tee times for the Muleriders begin at 10:30 a.m., with Will Blake leading things off. Wil Griffin will tee off at 10:42 a.m., followed by Luke Cote at 10:54 a.m., Logan McDonald at 11:06 a.m., and Blane Burk at 11:18 a.m.
