ALISO VIEJO - The Division II College Communicators Association has announced its recipient for the 2025 Ron Lenz Pitcher of the Year award, which is awarded to the top Division II softball pitcher in the nation.
D2 CCA announced that Brinson Rogers has been voted as the award recipient for the 2025 Ron Lenz Pitcher of the Year award, naming her the top pitcher in all of Division II. The Statesboro, Georgia native is the first Mulerider pitcher to earn the plaudit as she recorded one of, if not the best season by a pitcher in the Blue and Gold. Along with the honor, Rogers was also named to the association's First Team All-American Team for her second All-American honor for this season.
The NFCA First Team All-American, D2CCA Central Region Pitcher of the Year, and the Great American Conference's Pitcher of the Year, Brinson Rogers adds to her already outstanding resume with this honor and capped off her final year in the Blue and Gold with a 0.93 ERA (2nd lowest in program history), 233.1 innings pitched (5th most in program history), .149 opposing batting average (lowest in program history), 30 wins (2nd most in program history), 18 shutouts (most in program history), and 309 strikeouts (most in program history. Rogers' 300+ strikeouts made her the only pitcher for Southern Arkansas to eclipse the 300 K mark. She is also just the fifth pitcher for the GAC to claim 30 wins in a single season. Rogers was also named the NFCA's DII National Pitcher of the Week four times and the GAC's on ten occasions.
Also being named as an All-American was Regan Dillon. The Bryant, Arkansas native claimed the Second Team All-American plaudit after leading the team with her .351 batting average, 43 runs scored, 10 doubles, 12 home runs, 42 walks, and .662 slugging percentage. One of the primary starters, Dillon was struck out the least (18) out of her 154 at-bats. Dillon was named the GAC's Pitcher of the Week once this campaign and was credited as a member of the All-GAC First Team as well as the conference's Tournament MVP.
