LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced today their NFCA 2025 NCAA DII Rawlings Gold Glove Awards presented by the NFCA. Making that list is the Muleriders very own Sophia Stoddard who was named the 2025 Gold Glove Catcher.
Stoddard joins players across the country in a stacked list of winners. Stoddard finished second on the team in batting average with a mark of .350. She collected 56 hits, nine doubles, one triple, and three home runs while driving in 17 runs. The senior finished the season with a .475 slugging percentage while having a .910 OPS. Stoddard also started and played in all 53 games for the Blue and Gold this season. She was also a weapon behind the plate for the Muleriders throwing out 54% of would be base stealers (13 CS – 24 att.). By a wide margin, the Bountiful, Utah native led the Muleriders in putouts with 396 with 428 chances (92.5%).
