MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Southern Arkansas Men's Golf is hitting the road to Mayetta, Kansas, to compete in the Firekeeper Open, hosted by Washburn University. The two-day tournament is set for Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8.
The Muleriders enter the event with momentum following a strong showing at the Arkansas Collegiate in El Dorado, where they finished second at +43 (293-310-303). Logan McDonald led the way, tying for first place and earning his first collegiate title.
Representing SAU in Kansas will be Logan McDonald, Blane Burk, Will Blake, Luke Cote, and Wil Griffin.
The Muleriders will face a competitive field that includes Central Missouri, Winona State, Washburn, #5 Central Oklahoma, Concordia, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Missouri Southern, Missouri Western, #10 Oklahoma Christian, Fort Hays State, #3 Hutchinson CC, Minnesota-Crookston, #14 Dodge City CC, #33 Henderson State, Newman, Minnesota State, #50 West Texas A&M, and #21 Harding.
Tee time is set for 9 a.m. tomorrow morning at Firekeeper Golf Course.
