FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Southern Arkansas Mulerider Men's Golf team wrapped up a strong performance at the Great American Conference Golf Championships, securing a 4th place finish out of nine teams. The three-day tournament saw the Muleriders post a total team score of 849 (+9), with rounds of 293, 284, and a standout final round of 272. They finished behind nationally ranked #34 Henderson State, Arkansas Tech, and #25 Harding.
Freshman Blane Burk led the charge for Southern Arkansas, claiming 4th place individually with an impressive total score of 208 (-2). Burk's steady progression over the tournament was highlighted by rounds of 73, 69, and a closing 66. This marks his second top-five finish of the spring season, following a T3 result at the Arkansas Collegiate. Over the course of the championship, Burk recorded 10 birdies and one eagle.
Luke Cote also made a strong contribution, finishing in a tie for 13th with a three-round total of 216 (+6). His performance included rounds of 75, 74, and a low final round of 67, along with 10 birdies over the tournament. Wil Griffin followed closely behind, tying for 18th with a score of 218 (+8) after rounds of 76, 70, and 72. He added 8 birdies and an eagle to his scorecard.
Logan McDonald tied for 21st, carding rounds of 71, 82, and a bounce-back 67 for a total of 220 (+10). He led the team in birdies with 11 and also chipped in an eagle. Rounding out the Mulerider lineup was Will Blake, who tied for 28th with a score of 224 (+14), following rounds of 74, 71, and 79. Blake added 8 birdies during the event.
