MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Mulerider Football announced their 2025 football schedule today. The 2025 slate features six home games for the Muleriders and five contests on the road.
 
Head Coach Brad Smiley begins his fourth year at the helm as the Muleriders head coach and is coming off back-to-back seasons with at least nine wins as Southern Arkansas concluded the campaign with a 9-2 record in 2024.
 
The Blue and Gold open their six-game home schedule against Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday, September 4th, a 6:00 PM kickoff. The Muleriders will then travel to Bethany, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 13th for a 2:00 PM kickoff at Southern Nazarene.
 
SAU will then host Harding on Saturday, September 20th for a 6:00 PM kickoff. This year's meeting with Harding has also been tabbed as the Family Day weekend for the Muleriders. Southern Arkansas will then make their first of two trips to Arkadelphia as they play Henderson State on Saturday, September 27th at 6:00 PM.
 
The Blue and Gold will then make the long trek to Alva, Oklahoma to play Northwestern Oklahoma State on October 4th at 2:00 PM. The Muleriders will return to Magnolia on October 11th for their annual Homecoming game against Southwestern Oklahoma State at 2:30 PM.
 
SAU will then play host to Arkansas Tech on Saturday, October 18th for a 2:00 PM kickoff. The following week will see the Muleriders make their second trip of the season to Arkadelphia on October 25th for a 1:00 PM kickoff at Ouachita Baptist.
 
For the Blue and Gold's final road trip of the regular season, SAU will travel to Ada, Oklahoma on November 1st for a 2:00 PM kickoff against East Central University. The Muleriders will then return home for their final two home games of the season as they will first take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on November 8th at 2:00 PM. The Blue and Gold will then conclude their 2025 regular season as they host Arkansas-Monticello on November 15th at 2:00 PM for the 100th Battle of the Timberlands.
