MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Mulerider Men's and Women's Track & Field has released its 2025-26 Indoor and Outdoor schedules.
Indoor Season
To get things in motion for Southern Arkansas, the group will make their first of three trips to Pittsburg, Kansas, as the Blue and Gold's first meet of the indoor season will take place inside the Robert W. Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State University for the Crimson and Gold Invitational on December 6, 2025. The units' visit to Pittsburg, Kansas marks the fifth-straight indoor season that the Muleriders will compete inside the Robert W. Plaster Center. Southern Arkansas will also be making its return to the Crimson and Gold Invitational for the first time since December 10, 2022.
The Muleriders' next bit of action will take place in the new year, as Southern Arkansas will head south for the Samford Open in Birmingham, Alabama on January 17, 2026. The Muleriders will be making their first trip to Samford University for competition within the indoor season since February 13, 2016.
SAU will then head back to Pittsburg, Kansas for the second of three trips a week later on January 24, 2026, as Southern Arkansas will be set to compete in the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invite. This will mark the second year in a row that the Muleriders get to compete in the invitational.
A couple weeks later, Southern Arkansas will continue competition amongst the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association's programs, as the Muleriders will head to Maryville, Missouri for the Bearcat Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University from February 6-7, 2026. This will be the first time for Southern Arkansas to compete at the Bearcat Invite during the indoor season.
For the final bit of regular-season indoor competition, Southern Arkansas will take its final voyage to Pittsburg, Kansas, as the Muleriders will compete in the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic on February 13-14, 2026. This outing will mark the third-consecutive season that Blue and Gold will compete in the meet.
Outdoor Season
Just under a month after the regular-season conclusion of the indoor schedule, the Muleriders will start up their outdoor schedule in Searcy, Arkansas for the Harding Invitational and Multis, hosted by Harding University on March 6-7, 2026. While this will be the seventh-straight complete season that the Muleriders will compete in the meet, this will be the first time that Southern Arkansas will start up its outdoor schedule in Searcy.
A week later on March 14, 2026, the Muleriders will head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for the second annual Ouachita Invitational, hosted by Ouachita Baptist University. With this being the second annual OUA Invite, Southern Arkansas looks to have an impressive outing in just its second trip to the university for competition.
A week after competing in the Natural State for back-to-back weekends, the Muleriders will make their first visit to Louisiana-Lafayette since the 2024 season for the Louisiana Classic on March 20-21, 2026.
Starting up April, Southern Arkansas will head out to the Lone Star State for two separate meets, as the Muleriders' relay squads will head out to Austin, Texas for the Texas Relays, hosted by the University of Texas, while members of other squads, as well as multi-athletes, will travel to Nacogdoches, Texas for the Carl Kight Invitational & Multi's, hosted by Stephen F. Austin State University. Both meets will take place simultaneously on April 2-3, 2026. Southern Arkansas is well-experienced at the Carl Kight Invite, as the Muleriders will be making their fifth-straight trip to the outing. For the Texas Relays, the Blue and Gold will make their first journey to Austin since the 2024 season.
To wrap up the regular season, and to get prepped for the Great American Conference Outdoor Championships, Southern Arkansas will host the ninth-annual Dan Veach Invitational on April 18, 2026 at the Mulerider Track & Field Complex.
Prior to NCAA D2 Outdoor Nationals and last chance meets, one of Southern Arkansas' final tests takes place where the season began in Searcy, Arkansas. The group will head back to Searcy County for the Great American Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Harding University on April 30-May2, 2026.
