Searcy, Ark - Three Mulerider track multi-athletes competed on Monday and Tuesday at the Harding Spring Break Multi. For the men, sophomore
Connor White competed in the decathlon. For the women, sophomore
Josie Burke and junior
Rebecca Miner competed in the Heptathlon.
At the meet, the Mulerider trio claimed 17 individual top five finishes with all three athletes ending up in the top five of their respective areas including one event victory.
White recorded four top five finishes including two second place finishes. White would finish second in the 1500m (4:53.68) and second in the pole vault after recording a height of 3.80m (12'5½").
White placed second overall in the decathlon after recording 5579 total points at the meet.
The two SAU women earned 13 top five finishes combined and one first place finish by Burke in the heptathlon.
Miner placed in the top five of all seven events placing her in third. Burke would go on to finish in the top five in six out of seven of the events which included winning the shot put event (10.99m(36'0¾")).
Miner finished in third place after ending the heptathlon with 3219 total points while Burke ended up in fourth place with a total score of 3034.
The Mulerider Men's and Women's track teams will be back in full force on March 18 and 19 at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, Louisiana.
