CLINTON, Miss. – Competing in their first morning meet of the season, the Southern Arkansas University Men's and Women's teams both put together great showings in the Watson Invitational, hosted by Mississippi College.
On the men's side, SAU collected a top ten team finish, as they came in sixth out of 22 teams, which includes finishing higher than five Division One programs. The men were led by
Rob Kraus who collected a top 10 finish, as he crossed the finish line in eighth place with a time of 25:47.5.
Carlos Armendariz (32
nd; 26:59.0), and Jaime, Quinones (38
th; 27:10.0), both found themselves within the top 40.
Jorge Sanchez collected a top 45 finish as he crossed the finish line in 44
th place with a time of 27:19.4.

The SAU women had a very strong showing as they finished in third place as a team out of 19 total teams, which includes finishing higher than five Division One programs. True freshman
Logan Warren paced the way for the Mulerider woman as she collected a top ten fish, crossing the finish line in 23:31.0 in 10
th place.
Carley Hale found herself within the top 20 as she finished in 19
th place with a time of 24:14.5.
Dakota Cassidy would finish two spots behind Hale in 22
nd place with a time of 24:39.1.
Bronwyn Buchanan (24
th; 24:46.8) also found herself within the top 25 for SAU.
Leah Sanders (35
th; 25:15.4), and
Alyzah McGlasson (38
th; 25:24.7) both finished within the top 40.
Alyssa Dohm (47
th; 25:57.4),
Cecilia Quesada (49
th; 26:01.9),
Victoria Cheney (78
th; 27:23.3), and
Alyssa Solis (95
th; 27:56), all ran well for the Muleriders.
Both teams will return to the course on October 23, as they will be running in the Great American Conference Championships, for their final regular season meet of the year.
