MULERIDERS BY THE NUMBERS
2 - Southern Arkansas holds two top 10 statistical rankings in Division II through 16 games this season. The Muleriders rank ninth in the country in three-point field goal percentage defense (29.4) and tenth in offensive rebounds per game (14.38). Both of those marks lead the GAC. Additionally, SAU leads the conference in scoring defense allowing just 67.8 ppg which ranks 37th nationally.
109 - With their prowess evident on the offensive glass, the Brooks Brothers have combined for 109 offensive rebounds this season. That current total is more than the offensive team total of six Division II programs and two Division I programs this season. The duo is 15 such boards shy of adding ten more teams to that list. Last season, the brothers combined for 143 rebounds. Their current pace puts them at a combined 190.6 offensive boards with 12 regular season games remaining.
2002 - The Muleriders' most recent trip to the court was a historic one as Southern Arkansas picked up its first win over Harding in Searcy since a 92-78 decision over HU on February 7, 2002. The victory was the third-straight for SAU over the Bisons and that streak is the longest since the Muleriders won three-consecutive games from February 8, 2001 to the aforementioned victory in 2002. It was a span of 38 games between the win in 2002 and the victory last Saturday. It is just the second road victory for SAU in Searcy since 2000 and it's the first road win for the Muleriders this season.
