NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Severe weather avoided Homer Bryce Stadium on the campus of Stephen F. Austin University on Friday afternoon as the second day of competition at the Skecher's Carl Kight Invitational went off without a hitch. For the Lady Muleriders, sophomore multi-athlete
Emily Potts reset the program record in the heptathlon, while freshman distance runner
Karly Anderson logged a personal best time in the 5000 meter to highlight the performances for the SAU Women.
Potts concluded her first attempt at the event this spring on Friday afternoon and did so by topping her previous program best in the event that she set last season at the Great American Conference Championships. Part of her program record setting performance that tallied 3,600 points included career-best heptathlon results in the javelin and long jump events. For Thursday's results, visit

Anderson's best performance in the 5000 meter this season came in a time of 19:40.94. In addition, she finished in the top 10 of the event in eighth-place among a Division I field.
A complete list of all of the Lady Mulerider results from Friday can be found below. Conversions from meters to feet in the field events will be made available as soon as possible. For a complete schedule of all of the Lady Mulerider action taking place in Nacogdoches on Saturday, visit
