RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference (GAC) has released its indoor track and field athletes of the week, and making the list of honors for women's field events is senior jumper
Diamond Brunn. Brunn has been named the GAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week after her very impressive performance in the long jump at the Crimson and Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State.
A native of Killeen, Texas, Brunn acquired her first-ever indoor honor in the league, as Brunn claimed an NCAA DII Provisional Mark in her event, with her measurement of 5.73m (18' 9.75"). The mark slotted her in third place, putting her only behind two members of Pittsburg State University, the invitational hosts. The 5.73m distance was also a program-awarding feat, as
Diamond Brunn set a new program record for indoor women's long jump while in Pittsburg, Kansas.
For the remainder of 2025, indoor track and field has wrapped up competition, but will be back in action down in Birmingham, Alabama, for the Samford Open on January 17, 2026.
