INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Due to an opposing team's athlete dropping from the 100m at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, senior sprinter Jordan Collins has now qualified for the event and will compete in the 100m as well as the 200m.
With the added event, Collins will now be starting competition on Thursday, as the preliminary round of the Women's 100m will take place at 6:25 PM on Thursday, May 21. With a qualification for the finals, Jordan would then compete in the 100m finals on Saturday, May 23, at 5:05 PM. With qualifications in the either the 100m or 200m, Jordan would then be competing on all three days of the National Championship meet in Emporia, Kansas.
Jordan has had a splendid season in the Blue and Gold for all of her sprinting events, as she is the program's record holder for both the 100m and the 200m. Along with her 200m record time of 23.50, the Huntsville, Texas native is also the record holder in the 100m with a time of 11.59. She recorded both times while at the 2026 Great American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, claiming and individual championship in both.
