MAGNOLIA, Ark. — It is last chance meet time, as a select few from Mulerider Track & Field look to better their individual marks at two different sites this weekend, in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Emporia, Kansas.
On Saturday, Diamond Brunn and Jordan Collins are set to travel to Pittsburg, Kansas, where the two will be competing in the Pitt State University "The Almost Last Chance" Invitational. For both athletes, the two each accounted for individual championships at the Great American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, as Brunn comes off of winning the Long Jump and Collins won the 100m and 200m dashes. In the Long Jump, Diamond currently ranks 19th nationally, with her season-high 6.06m (19' 10.75"). Jordan will hope to improve her 200m time of 23.50, which ranks 12th nationally and won her the event at the GAC Championships.
On Sunday, one Mulerider will compete, as Skyler Phillips will look to better her distance of 46.99m (154' 2"), which won her the Discus Throw at the GAC Championships last week in Searcy, Arkansas. The freshman will now head back to Searcy, where she will compete in the Harding Mother's Day Last Chance meet. Currently, Skyler's individual championship distance sits at 33rd nationally,
