SAU Women's Basketball travels to Russellville to take on Arkansas Tech

Russellville, Ark. - The Muleriders hit the road for their final conference game of the 2018 calendar year as they travel up to Russellville to take on Arkansas Tech. The Muleriders are coming off a 67-55 home loss to Ouachita on the weekend that saw senior Alyssa Crase record the first Mulerider double-double of the season. 

The Golden Suns have lost their past two conference fixtures, losses versus Henderson State and at Arkansas-Monticello this past weekend. 

The Golden Suns have four player averaging more than 10 points per game, led by Jacie Higgins with 12.3 points per game. Hannah Villiness is next with 10.7 points per game, and Ke'Vonsha Stackhouse and Jayana Sanders both average 10.3 points per game. Sanders also leads the team in assists and field goal percentage. Lyrik Williams leads the way on the glass with 6.6 rebounds per game, as well as leading the team in blocks. Villiness and Alicia Mardis are tied for the team lead in steals, with Stackhouse one steal behind them. 

The Muleriders are led in scoring by freshman guard Ariana Guinn. Guinn is averaging 12.0 points per game, as well as shooting 90.9 percent from the free throw line (30-for-33). Fellow freshman guard Camryn Fennell leads the team in assists, and Crase leads the team in rebounds with 6.9 rebounds per game. 

The Muleriders host a pair of non-conference games to close out the calendar year.
