HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Kirk Peterson birdied the third playoff hole to capture the Natural State Spring Golf Classic title as he carded a two under, 69 for the second-consecutive day, while the Mulerider Golf team placed fourth overall; a single-stroke back of a top-three placement at the par-71, 6,451 yard Red Apple Country Club in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Peterson finished four under for a 138 during the two-day event and teammate
George Adams also finished under par for the tournament as he produced a two-day total of 141 (-1). Adams claimed a top-five finish with his even par 71 on day-two to place tied for fourth.
Behind Adams in scoring was
Kevin Elder who finished in a tie for 15
th after a day-two 75 to finish three over par for the tournament.
Jacob Etherington dropped his opening round score by a single stroke to finish with a two-day total of 153.
Kyle Gordon scored individually and lowered his day-one score by seven strokes as he finished one over par and tied for 39
th.
Kieran Grieve knocked four strokes off of his day one score to finish day two with an 80.
Southern Arkansas will now prepare for the Great American Conference Tournament on April 24-26 at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
