DANVILLE, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas men's golf team concluded play at the David Falconer Classic on Tuesday and after the two-round event, SAU finished in a tie for 17th-place among the 21-team field.
Individually, the Muleriders had four players shoot in the 70s in the second round with
George Adams' +4 (76) being the low score of the round. Senior
Kirk Peterson dropped the most strokes from his opening round as he was five shots better and carded a +6 (78) on Tuesday.
Freshman
Evan Buchalski also improved upon his opening round score as he was three strokes better and shot a +7 (79) in round two.
Day one individual leader
George Adams would shoot a +4 (76) in the second round, but his two-round score of 146 still paced the Muleriders individually while also netting him a tie for 19th-place in field of over 115 golfers.
Individual competitor
Kyle Gordon had the best improvement from Monday to Tuesday as he was 10 shots better as he shot an Even-Par 72.
The Muleriders will now prepare for their second tournament of the fall as they will play in the Broncho Invitational starting on Monday, March 21 and concluding on Tuesday, March 22. The two-day event will be played at the Galardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.
