OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Southern Arkansas men's golf team played the third and final round of the 2015 Great American Conference Preview on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,970-yard Lake Hefner Golf Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.
 
Tuesday featured the lowest team score for the Muleriders for the tournament as they shot a 301, but a final round surge by Henderson State pushed SAU back a place from yesterday's finish as the Muleriders ended the tournament in seventh-place among the 11-team field.
 
Senior golfer Jacob Etherington would be the Muleriders' top individual finisher as he matched his second round score of 78 (+6) in Tuesday's final round to give him a three-round total of 226 (+10), placing him in a tie for 28th place.
 
Behind Etherington was classmate George Adams and junior golfer Kyle Gordon as the two finished the tournament with a score of 228 (+12) to place in a tie for 35th. Gordon's final round 74 (+2) was matched by classmate Dalton Johnson as the two carded lowest round on the team on Tuesday.
 
The Muleriders will now prepare for the Texoma Championship, which is hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma and will run from Monday, September 28 through Tuesday, September 29 at the Chickasaw Golf Resort in Kingston, Okla.
