SAU (2-2) found itself in the midst of a hot three-point shooting team in Southeastern Oklahoma in its most recent matchup, where the Lady Muleriders fell 72-48 inside W.T. Watson Center. SOSU finished 12-of-25 from three, including an impressive 9-for-14 barrage from guard Olivia Potter (27 points).

Junior Rosa Bryant provided the spark for the second straight game, scoring a team-high 16 points off the bench. Fellow platoon-mate Cemetra Jenkins added seven points and four steals in the loss. Bryant has scored in double figures in three straight games off the bench, pouring in a team-high 40 points (13.3 ppg) and 17 rebounds (5.7 rpg) during that stretch.

The Lady Muleriders remain in the upper echelon of the Great American Conference in steals and turnover margin. Jenkins ranks fourth in the GAC in steals per game (2.0). As a team, the Lady Muleriders are second in steals per game (13.0) and third in turnover margin (+4.5) in the league.

RSU (1-2) has familiarity with the GAC this season as SAU will be its third GAC contest. The Hillcats split their previous two GAC opponents, losing to East Central 57-54 at home on Nov. 15 before edging Northwestern Oklahoma on the road 55-54 on Nov. 18.

Junior forward Amari Jones (11.0 ppg) and senior guard Mikaila Newton (10.7 ppg) spearhead the scoring for the Hillcats. Jones nearly averages a double-double per game, currently sitting fourth in the Heartland conference in rebounding (9.7 rpg) and blocks (2.0 bpg) in addition to eighth in field-goal percentage (.519). The Hillcats are tied for second in blocked shots per game (4.7) and third in rebounding margin (+5.3) in the Heartland.
