FINAL RESULTS
WOODWARD, Okla. Â- The Southern Arkansas men's golf team placed four golfers in the top-10 as the team secured a second-place finish at the Northwestern Oklahoma State University (NWOSU) / Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) Invitational, which was held at the Boiling Springs Golf Club in Woodward, Okla. over the past two days.

The Muleriders, who were in second-place after completion of the first round on Monday, lowered their team score by a stroke on Tuesday as they finished with a 301 (+17) for the final round. Their two-round total of 603 (+35) was a full 41 strokes ahead of the third-place finishers Northwestern Oklahoma.

Helping lead the charge for SAU were junior golfers
George Adams and
Kirk Peterson. Both Adams and Peterson would tie for fourth-place individually as they finished the tournament with a 148 (+6) two-round total. After play on Monday, Adams was tied for the tournament lead after he fired a +2 (73). On Tuesday, Adams would slip a couple of strokes finishing the round with a +4 (75). Peterson, on the other hand, would lower his first round score as he shot a +1 (72) on Tuesday.

Rounding out scoring for the Muleriders over the duration of the tournament were
Kyle Gordon,
Dalton Johnson, and Pablo Lavin. Johnson, who finished ninth individually, was tied for the lead with Adams after Monday as he shot a +2 (73). Gordon and Lavin would each better their opening round scores of 80 (+9) as Lavin shot a +7 (78) on Tuesday, while Gordon fired a +5 (76).
