Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Visiting Southern Nazarene used a late second half push to blow past Southern Arkansas 86-66 Saturday in Great American Conference women's action at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.
The Crimson Storm (7-7, 4-4 GAC) won their third straight, while the Lady Muleriders (0-12, 0-7 GAC) remain winless on the season.
SNU used its international trio in picking up the win, with Oumoul Thiam, a senior guard out of Senegal, scoring 32 points. Senior center Annie Kassongo, a native of Switzerland, added 14 points, and sophomore forward Aminata Fall, another Senegalese player, recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Katherine McBride (Lucas, Texas) led SAU with a season-high 22 points. Freshman center
Tori Nichols (Houston, Texas) scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Southern Arkansas made it close for the majority of the game, trailing only in single digits throughout the first half that finished in a 38-33 deficit.
The Lady Muleriders pulled to within 42-41 on a McBride lay-up early in the second frame, and were down just 53-49 on sophomore guard

The tide turned from there as Thiam's lay-up and free throw gave Southern Nazarene its first double-digit lead of 61-51 at 9:54. They eventually stretched it to a 21-point game just prior to the final buzzer.
The Crimson Storm shot 43.8 percent on 28 of 64 from the floor and nailed 25 of 30 free throws, while SAU shot 34.3 percent on 24 of 70, and had 10 of 15 freebies.
SNU outscored Southern Arkansas 42-26 inside and had a 19-7 point difference off 15 Lady Mulerider turnovers, while committing just 10.
SAU's 66 points matched a season-high and was just the second time they've reached the 60-point mark this season.
