MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Mulerider baseball announced today the addition of
Matt Page to the baseball staff for the 2027 campaign.
Before joining the Mulerider staff for this season, Page spent time at the University of California East Bay as an assistant coach.
"I'm incredibly grateful to Coach Pettigrew and the administration for the opportunity to join the Southern Arkansas baseball family and honored to be part of its championship tradition," said
Matt Page. "My family and I are excited to call Magnolia home, and we look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes, helping them grow on and off the field, and contributing to a program that the university, alumni, and community can be proud of."
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Page and his family to Magnolia," said Head Coach
Justin Pettigrew. "Matt's proven track record of coaching high powered offenses, recruiting talent on a national level, and his focus on player development will translate into a well balanced offensive attack for the Muleriders."
Page has served as the recruiting coordinator at both Cal State East Bay and Antelope Valley before that. He has been a part of multiple conference championship and top 25 ranked programs while helping to build explosive and nationally ranked offenses.
During the course of his career, Page has developed 35+ professional players, including seven players who signed with Major League Baseball organizations while also coaching multiple All-American, All-Region, and All-Conference selections.
Before getting into coaching, Page played at St. Ambrose University, then went on to play independent professional baseball.
