Muleriders Hold At Fourth in Latest NCAA DII Central Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — NCAA Division II has released the latest regional rankings for Division II Softball. In the Central Region, Team 28 held up at fourth in the poll and remains the highest-ranked Great American Conference school in the region. Southern Arkansas is now joined in the top eight by Oklahoma Baptist, as the Bison enter at eighth. The third and final team from the GAC in the rankings is Arkansas Tech, as the Golden Suns stayed at ninth. 

The Blue and Gold continue to have the best regional record, as the group is 42-7 agains Central Region opponents. If the season were to end today, the Muleriders would be heading to the only non-GAC regional opponent that has defeated SAU, the top-seeded Missouri Southern State Lions (45-7 | 41-7 in region). 

Southern Arkansas aims to improve its spot in the standings with the Great American Conference Championship Tournament this weekend (May 7-9).
