RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference (GAC) released today their 2026 All-Great American Conference Baseball Teams. The Muleriders see five players make All-GAC teams and three players named to the Elite Scholar Team. 22 Muleriders were also named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll Team.
 
Caleb Sollars and Wyatt Fielding were named to the All-GAC Second team while Eli Hutcherson and Preston Smith were named to the All-GAC Honorable mention team. Jacob Lang was named to the All-GAC Defensive Team and Jackson Downing, Luke Noack, and Grey Fisher were named Elite Scholar Athletes.
 
Second Team All-GAC
Sollars, a senior from Benton, Arkansas has had a great year on the mound for the Muleriders, The southpaw has made 12 appearances including one start throwing 24 innings so far. Sollars has a 1.50 ERA and a 3-1 record with three saves while striking out 31 batters. Opponents hit a measly .195 against the hurler. In his first start of the season against UAM, Sollars threw a seven-inning complete game allowing just one run while striking out seven batters.
 
Fielding, a native of Fort Worth, Texas has had a great year at the plate for the Muleriders in his first season with the team. The junior has consistently led the team in many offensive categories and currently leads the lineup in batting average (.385), OPS (1.114), hits (65), doubles (15), total bases (105), slugging percentage (.621), and walks (32). His .385 batting average ranks him fifth in the GAC.
 
Honorable Mention All-GAC
Hutcherson, a native of Cabot, Arkansas began the year appearing mainly in midweek action before moving into the starting weekend rotation towards the back half of the season. The righty has been dominant on the mound throwing 53.2 innings pitched while striking out a team leading 52 hitters. Hutcherson had his most dominant performance of the season against Henderson State in a nine-inning complete game effort. Eli only allowed two hits to Henderson and one walk while striking out 10 Reddies in the effort. He is also a two-time GAC Pitcher of the Week award winner this season.
 
Smith, a native of Taylor, Arkansas has had a breakout season for the Muleriders. Smith has provided a spark to the offense this season with his unique combination of speed and power as he currently leads the team in home runs (8) and triples (8). Not only do his eight triples lead the team but also all of the GAC and is tied for first in all of Division II while also currently leading Division I. Through 45 games, the sophomore boasts a 1.022 OPS, nine doubles, 101 total bases, 31 RBI, 21 walks, 12 hit by pitches and has stolen 18 bases while only being caught stealing twice.
 
All Defensive Team
Lang, a native of Krugerville, Texas has been the main backstop all season long for the Muleriders as he has started and appeared in 46 of the 47 games played thus far. Lang has anchored the Muleriders pitching staff all year behind the plate recording 343 put outs and 30 assists. Lang has thrown out 24 would be base stealers this season to lead the league as the backstop has been a force behind the dish this year.
