MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (11-7, 6-3 GAC) are set for their first in state GAC series this weekend as they travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for a three-game series against the Ouachita Baptist University Tigers (10-6, 5-4 GAC).

>>> The Muleriders are coming off a weekend that saw them lose the series to the Arkansas Tech University Wonder Boys 1-2. Tech opened by winning the first two games of the series but the Muleriders were able to salvage the last game of the series in a commanding 7-3 win.
 
>>> Last time the two teams squared off for a weekend series, the Muleriders walked off the Tigers twice on their way to a weekend sweep in Magnolia. The Blue and Gold did fall to the Tigers last season in Arkadelphia in a midweek contest by a score of 4-7. Last time the two squads met in Arkadelphia for a weekend series, the Muleriders walked away with a sweep over Ouachita.
 
>>> The Muleriders currently sit in fifth place in the Great American Conference Standings after dropping two games to the Wonder Boys last weekend. SAU is currently one game above Ouachita in the standings as the Tigers have a 5-4 record in conference play.
 
>>> Wyatt Fielding still leads the way for the Muleriders with his .446 batting average. Wyatt also leads the team in OPS (1.396), doubles (9), home runs (5), Total bases (57), slugging percentage (.877), and on base percentage (.519). Fielding's nine doubles currently rank him 11th in Division II and tied for first in the GAC.
 
>>> Eli Hutcherson leads the team in qualifying ERA with a mark of 3.29. He also leads the team in innings pitched (27.1) and strikeouts (27). Hutcherson's 27 strikeouts rank him third in the GAC.  Wes Cunningham leads the team in saves with two thus far.

>>> The Tigers are coming off a midweek loss to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday by a final score of 2-6. The Tigers also fell in their weekend series at Harding losing two out of three games to the Bisons.
 
>>> Through 16 games on the season Jaren Ceasar leads the offense with a .433 batting average while also leading the team in OPS with a mark of .994. Joseph Bolin leads the team in home runs with four home runs. David Bull leads the team in total bases with 34. Bolin also leads the team in RBI.
 
>>> Braden Tucker leads the team in qualifying ERA with a mark of 4.00. Chase Oberle leads the team in innings pitched with 25.1 while also being tied for the team lead in strikeout with 15.
